Bramow, Marvin P. 'Marv'
Marvin P. “Marv” Bramow, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in his home following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Chaplain Jeremy Hudson of St. Luke's Hospice will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty; children, Linda Herdliska and husband Dan, Connie Walkner and husband Mike, and Randy Bramow and wife Karen, all of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ralph and Elmo.
Marv was born April 28, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, to August and Matilda Bramow. He married Betty Langfitt on Oct. 27, 1954, in Columbus, Ga. He owned and operated United Clean All janitorial and cleaning service for many years and later was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Geneva Towers. He will forever be missed by his family and friends who love him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of St. Luke's Hospice for their kindness and care.
