Braden Ray Bertelli, 26, of rural Marengo, chose to end his life on Saturday, June 11, 2016. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Braden's life will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, with a time of sharing to begin at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2600 First Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Braden Bertelli memorial fund with contributions to be directed towards various local mental health associations.
Braden was born March 16, 1990, in Iowa City, the son of Torrance Bertelli and Lori (Leichty) Coulter. He was a 2007 graduate of Iowa City West High School. Braden was the life of the party wherever he went. He loved driving his Camaro and riding his Ninja motorcycle. He will be greatly missed!
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Torrance and Angela Bertelli; his mother and stepfather, Lori and Tim Coulter; two brothers, Mason and Malone; two sisters, Breck and Sierra; and his grandparents, James and Karen Tucker, Ray and Teresa Alberhasky, Clarence and Julie Leichty and Lorraine Coulter.
