Brad Matthew Humble, 52, of Iowa City, formerly of Marengo, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at University of Chicago Hospitals while awaiting a heart transplant. A gathering of friends and family will take place at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Upper Hickory Hill Park off North Dodge Street. Graveside Committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Kirkwood Room, next to Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for the Brad Humble Memorial Fund has been established.
Brad was born Jan. 27, 1963, in Iowa City, the son of Neil and Marlene Dohrer Humble.
Brad is survived by his loving mother, Marlene of Iowa City; and his seven siblings, Linda Humble of Omaha, Neb., Douglas Humble of Iowa City, Debra (Isidro) Ramirez of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mark Humble of North Glen, Colo., Brenda (Mart) McAreavy of Iowa City, Gregory (Loretta) Humble of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and his twin, Brent Humble of Iowa City; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special nephew, Rick (Selene) Lockhart, whom Brad considered his son.
Brad was preceded in death by his father.
