Bowers, Alice E.
Alice E. Bowers, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at St. Luke's Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Per Alice's wishes, her body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Franklin; children, Vickie, Dixie, Donn and David Bowers, all of Cedar Rapids, and Larry Bowers of Coggon; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Alice Landuyt was born Nov. 4, 1926, to Louis and Louise (De Klerk) Landuyt in Hartford, Iowa. She married Franklin Bowers on May 6, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. Alice was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will deeply missed by many.
