Botteicher, Julie Lyn
Julie Lyn Botteicher of Belleville, Pa., celebrated her homecoming and breathed her first breaths in Heaven at 3:51 a.m. on June 12, 2010. A memorial service was held June 15 at Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church in Reedsville, Pa. Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville.
Julie was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Randel L. Botteicher of Belleville; and five loving children (whom she homeschooled for a grand total of 18 years), Cara (Jonathan) Aungst and children, Ellie, Will, Luke, Peter and Tessa, of Belleville, Pa., Hannah (Stephen) Hershey of Lancaster, Pa., Micah (Christina) Botteicher and son, Jonah, of Mahlberg, Germany, Leah (Francis) Daytec of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines and Joshua (Tanya) Botteicher of Erie, Pa. She was the cherished daughter of John and Phyllis Roberts of Marion; brothers, John Randal Roberts of Houston, Texas and Mark (Joyce) Roberts of Ryan; and sister, Jana (Kolby) Veenstra of Westerville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Roberts in 1974.
We do not just survive her; we are living footprints of her journey ... She loved and served selflessly. Everythinig Julie did was for her Savior, and all those who knew her could see His love in everything she did. All her family and friends could tell stories of food she had made them, clothes she had sewn, adventures she had joined, or lessons she had taught. Julie lived every moment completely.
Her passions were her family, laughter, cooking and beating all of us at a mean game of Speed Scrabble. Everyone who entered her home was embraced as part of her family and she mentored many as she lived the life of a godly woman. She worshipped with her family in Christ at Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church.
Amidst our grief, we celebrate her life and her reunion with our Savior.
Memorial contributions may be made to God's Living Grace Mission, c/o Leah and Francis Daytec, Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, 99 Taylor Dr., Reedsville, PA 17084.
