Boss, Beulah Jane
Beulah Jane Boss, 92, a resident at Hiawatha Care Center, formerly of Coggon, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the care center in Hiawatha. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Zion Presbyterian Church, Coggon. Private family inurnment: Coggon Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Leonard) Warner of Cedar Rapids; numerous nieces and nephews; and her four legged friend, Sparky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; three sisters, Laurene Weeden, Wanda Gardner and Beryl Brooke; and two brothers, Robert McCann and John McCann.
Beulah was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Springville, the daughter of George and Mabel (Benton) McCann. She graduated from Coggon High School and worked for the family business, McCann's Standard Service. Beulah married Harold W. Boss on July 6, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She and Harold worked on their farm, and Beulah was also a school bus driver and a substitute rural mail carrier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Zion Presbyterian Church, 110 N. Third St., P.O. Box 168, Coggon, IA 52218.
