Michael John Bormann was born Nov. 6, 1962, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Donald and Joann (Clarken) Bormann. He continued his studies at Iowa State University, where he graduated with a degree in agronomy in 1985. On Oct. 23, 1993, he was united in marriage to Jamie (Jamal) Ann Snyder in Williamsburg.
Mike has worked for Genencor of Cedar Rapids for many years, most recently in the position of recovery area coordinator.

Mike had coached his kids in most of the sports they have been involved in.
