Borland, LaRae A.
LaRae A. Borland, 82, of Independence, died Friday morning, Oct. 5, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a parish vigil service held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
She is survived by five children, Vicki (Ken) Rudolphy, West Chester, Ill., R. Randy Borland, Nashville, Tenn., Cathy (Richard) Feckers, Wyoming, Iowa, Jeff (Chandra) Borland, Rock Island, Ill., and Lynn Borland, Independence; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister; Joan Michels, Cedar Rapids.
