Booze, James Allen
James Allen Booze, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at his home following a sudden illness. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Tracey Booze; two sons, Kyle Booze and significant other Tara Carsner of Cedar Rapids and Zachary Booze and significant other Lydia Oline of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Laurie Sexton (James Roman) of Toddville and Julie Houston of Maple Grove, Minn.; a brother, Dave Booze of Cedar Rapids; two nieces, Lauren Houston and Heather Sexton; and his three dogs, Ginger, Jake and Keller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
James Allen Booze was born Feb. 21, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Peggy Booze. James graduated in 1982 from Linn-Mar High School, Marion. He then was united in marriage to Tracey Gerlaugh on May 17, 1985, in Cedar Rapids. James worked as a chef for 20 plus years at Elmcrest Country Club and Ced-Rel Supper Club.
James enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and most of all his family.
