Boothe, Jean Carlson (Gray)
Jean Carlson (Gray) Boothe, 89, of Marion, formerly of Williamson, Iowa, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, Iowa.
Jean was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Freeborn County, Minnesota, the daughter of John G. and Lillian (Carlson) Gray. On Sept. 5, 1943, she was united in marriage to Paul Boothe. Paul died Nov. 26, 2002.
Survivors include her children, John Boothe of Marion, Linda Boothe of Montgomery City, Mo., and Judy (John) Williams of Mason City; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister.
