Bolden, Naomi Mae
Naomi Mae Bolden, 87, of Marion, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Dec. 19, 2012, following a long illness.
She was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Crawford County, Wis., and married Richard J. (RJ) Bolden on Oct. 9, 1946, in La Crosse, Wis. Together they raised five children: Linda (Bill) Kuennen of Cedar Rapids, Jim Bolden of Cedar Rapids, Rhonda (John) Hammes of Fairfield, Iowa, Gary (Cheri) Bolden of Marion and Shawn Bolden of Cedar Rapids.
For more than 40 years, Naomi and Richard worked side by side building their business, Marion Brush Manufacturing Co., with RJ making brushes and Naomi taking care of the office.
In addition to spending time with her family, Naomi loved traveling, camping, snowmobiling, and baking. She was a member of Marion Christian Church.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 66 years; her loving children; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Bessie Orness of Marion and Sherry Hartelt of Mount Vernon.
Naomi was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3855 Katz Dr., Marion. The family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
