Boedeker, Richard
Richard Boedeker, 83, of Lowden, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehab. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with the Rev. Barbara Muhs officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Van Horn Cemetery, Lowden.
Richard was born June 11, 1926 in rural Lowden to Dick and Mary (Deerberg) Boedeker.
Richard served in the Army and then worked for Wendling Quarries and Lowden Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ-Lowden and the Lowden Amvets. After his retirement he enjoyed going down to Lowden Plumbing and Heating and playing many hours of soliatere.
Survivors include brothers: Chris (Phyllis), Henry, Donald (Carol), all of Lowden; sister Betty (Bud) Baal of Broomfield, Colo.; sister-in-law Eunice Boedeker of Lowden and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, sister Milda, sister-in-law Shirley and two brothers, Paul and Norman.
