Bodkin, Norma F.
Norma F. Bodkin, 81, of Olin, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Green Center Cemetery in Morley. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin.
Norma Florence Smith was born July 18, 1930, in Hale, Iowa, the daughter of John R. and Elsie (Dean) Smith. She graduated from Olin High School in 1947. She married Daryl “Red” Bodkin on July 25, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Norma worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids for 20 years.
She was a member of Olin Community Methodist Church. She liked to attend the festivals in Arkansas.
Norma is survived by her husband, Daryl “Red” Bodkin of Olin; three children, Trudy (Randy) Fisher and Barry Bodkin of Olin
and John Bodkin of Largo, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be given to Above and Beyond Hospice.
