Bob “Bohemie Man” Synacek, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, November 23, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025, at St. John’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Bob was born on September 15, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ludmila “Lillian” (Zarba) and George Synacek. He was united in marriage to Ms. Chris Brown in 1998. Bob worked at Kirkwood Community College, and he had his own landscaping business until he retired. Bob was a member of St. Ludmilla Catholic Church. He enjoyed being an usher at church, being involved in community events, and animal rights.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Ms. Chris Brown-Synacek; bonus daughters, Joi, Emerald, and Starlet Smith; niece, Diane Synacek; nephews, Andrew, and Patrick Synacek; and four bonus grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Synacek; bonus daughter, Evelyn Smith; and nephew, David Synacek.
