Blake Michael Wilson, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the age of 45. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Sharing memories will begin at 6:30. There will be no service.
Blake was born on July 17, 1978, to William and Colleen Wilson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Marion High School in 1997 and earned a degree in Computer Information Systems at Kaplan University in 2009. Blake was a Network Engineer at UFG Insurance.
In 2019, Blake reconnected with the love of his life, his fiancé, Kristin Olson. There was no one he would rather have had by his side for life's adventures, and he enjoyed nothing more than their little slice of happiness together.
Blake will always be remembered for his big heart. He had a remarkable ability to forge connections and embrace others with kindness.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kristin Olson; his mother, Colleen Wilson; and his sister, Keerlana Wilson as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William Wilson.
