Blair, Sylvia M.
Sylvia M. Blair, 88, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Marion, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. after a short illness. Services at 9 a.m. Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine Mueller of Okawville, Ill. and Sara Dir of Chandler, Ariz. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Linda, Scott, Vicki, Eric, Tracy, Jason; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; a daughter, Carole Petsel; and two brothers, Henry and Ralph McNabb.
Sylvia was born on August 26, 1922 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Corbin and Esther Williams McNabb. She married William D. Davis in Chicago, Ill. on August 18, 1943. He died in 1979. She later married Willis Blair on November 20, 1988 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1999.
Sylvia was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, word search puzzles and especially the time she spent with her beloved family and friends.
