Blaine Jay Black, 51, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 1 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Private family burial at a later date.
Survivors include his lifetime partner, Sherri McLellan; and siblings, Colleen (Jim) Hersh, Chris (Allen) McMillan, Lynette (Robert) Morrison, Gwen (Mark) Fowler and Kimberly Kramer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Black.
Blaine was born Feb. 27, 1964, the son of Leonard and Janet Black in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a general laborer for Baskerville Drywall. Blaine served in the United States Army National Guard.
