Bird, Robert Nathan
Robert Nathan Bird, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. Family and friends may gather at Wild Hogs in Walford at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.
Survivors include his daughter, Marie Homan of Reinbeck; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bobbi; and siblings, Sharon Gorman of Nebraska, Sue Reinbolz of Nebraska and Denny Bird of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patty; and brother, LeRoy.
Robert was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, son of Charles and Louise (Tate) Bird. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert worked at Amana Refrigeration for over 37 years.
