Bill Tarbox, 68, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, in his home. His Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the American Legion in Olin. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Olin Cemetery at a later date. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family at this time.
Bill Earl Tarbox was born Jan. 31, 1948, to Lewis and Mildred (Thumma) Tarbox. He served faithfully and honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a CPA in Cedar Rapids and Anamosa and was a Cedar Rapids transportation bus driver.
Those left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Richard Tarbox of Rose Hill, Kan., Marvin (Barbara) Tarbox of Bakersville, Calif., Sam (Linda) Tarbox of Cedar Rapids, Harold (Lorna) Tarbox of Olin and Danny (Karen) Tarbox of Olin; and sisters, Marcia Strack of Lancaster, Wis., and Connie (Dennis) Williams of Vallica.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol; and sister-in-law, Pam.
