Bill E. Landis, 76, of Marion, died Monday, Oct.
31, 2016, in Crestview Acres, with family at his side. Private family services were held Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Roger White. Inurnment took place in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Donna; his children, Sharon (Doug) Harris, Karen (Matt Kohn) Smalley, Carol (Jim) Murley, William (Jo Foreman) Landis, Robert Landis and Cheryl (Steve Weber) Landis; and his sisters, Shayla (Dale) Milbrandt, Tana (Terry) Dolan and Tamara (Roger) White.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Dorothy (Frentress) Landis. He married Donna Ferrie on Nov. 15, 1958, in Stockton, Calif. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bill was a cook for many years and also a salesman with Farm Bureau Insurance.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, fishing and camping.
