Bigler, Dr. Wilbur
Dr. Wilbur Bigler, 67, of West Union, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, from injuries in an automobile accident near Solon, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1638 Big Canoe Rd., Locust, Iowa, with the Rev. Nancy Solomonson presiding. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Schluter - Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave., Decorah, and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Wilbur is survived by his three children, Cindy (Bill) Bergman, Dallas, Texas, Mark Bigler, Washington, Iowa and Jeanette Bigler, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Ethel Ellingson and Ellen (Douglas) Dickman, both of Decorah; and three brothers, Roger (Evelyn) Bigler, George Bigler and David (Colleen) Bigler, all of Decorah.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Tilvina (Ellingson) Bigler; two brothers, Kermit Bigler in 1969 and Kenneth Bigler in 2005; and one brother-in-law, Tom Ellingson in 2005.
