Bevins, Elmira R. Roth
Elmira R. Roth Bevins, 77, of Belle Plaine, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, from a short illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at St. Michael's Catholic Church by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Elmira is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Jeff (Deena) and Pat (Sheila); two daughters Lisa Bevins and Kelly (Randy) Pickart; grandchildren, Michaela (Justin) Biggart, Sierra Bevins and Justin DeVoe, Beau (Britni) Jack, Tara Jo Pickart, Blake Jack, Tiffany Bevins, Jared Bevins, Haley Stalcup, Paige Pickart, Collin Bevins, Grant Bevins and Garrett Stalcup; and great-grandchildren, Bryer and Bryndal Jack and Quintin DeVoe.
Also surviving are sisters, Kay Ostrom, Vivian Himschoot, Maxine (Cecil) Roberts and Shirley Blomme; brother, Kenneth (Donna) Roth; sister-in-law, Betty Roth; and many nieces and nephews.
Elmira was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edward and Wallace.
Elmira was born July 12, 1934, in Hartwick, Iowa, the daughter of Fritz and Gertrude Dee Roth. She graduated from Hartwick High School with the class of 1952. Elmira and Kenny would celebrate 54 years of marriage on April 16.
