Beverly Mae Johansen, 88, of Iowa City, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville. Beverly knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was ready to spend eternity with Him.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Bill Johansen of Iowa City; her children, Brad (Patricia Hammer) Johansen of Roseville, Calif., and Barbara (Dr. Erling) Larson of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Kristen (Brett) Cimorelli of Dallas, Texas, and Matt (Chelsey Thomsen) Larson of Denver, Colo.; great-granddaughter, Amelia Cimorelli; her sister, Jean (Lloyd) Johansen, and nephew, Judd Johansen, of Coralville; and niece, Jann (Dr. Lanny) Kampfe of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Kevin Ahern.
A memorial service will be held at Parkview Church in Iowa City at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, with visitation one half-hour before the service. Inurnment will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkview Church or a charity of your choice.
