Beverly Jo Sanders, 67, of Solon, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics from a courageous battle with cancer.
Celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Timber Dome Lodge, located at 700 West Sovers Street, Solon, Iowa 52333. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Beverly was born on September 8, 1956, in Grinnell, the daughter of Marvin and Sandi (Huff) Sanders. She graduated from Solon High School, class of 1974, and graduated from Kirkwood College with a degree in Parks Services. She worked as a Park Ranger at Lake MacBride, Palisades, and Wildcat Den. Beverly spent part of her life on Sanibel Island for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors, watching deer and wildlife, as well as spending time on the water.
Beverly is survived by her parents Marvin and Sandi; her sisters Connie Sue (Bart) Beuter and Donna (Mike) Shea; her brothers Ken Sanders and Tom (Lori) Sanders; her nieces and nephews; and her beloved kitty Bella.
Beverly is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her brother-in-law Brian Coons.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at PCI Cancer Clinic for their loving care of Beverly.
She will be greatly missed by all.
