Bev was born March 8, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Col. Ralph and Nellie (Boone) Lancaster. She married Thomas H. Jenk Sr. on July 10, 1951, in Des Moines.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who probably attended more baseball games than the rest of her family.
Bev had been a lifelong Cubs fan and got one of her two final wishes -- seeing the Cubs win the World Series. There is already a "W" flag placed at the cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Tom Jr. (Pam) and Lisa (Jude) Milbert, both of Dyersville, and David of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, Drew (Lisa) Jenk, Brooke (Bob) Bush, David C. Jenk and Kris Jenk, Miki (Derrick) Parsons and Cassie (Jesse) Costigan; six great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Goen of Dyersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom in 2013; a sister, Gloria (Jim) Thomas; and a brother-in-law, John Goen.
Memorials are preferred to Beckman Catholic High School.
