Beverly Jean Lynch, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at St. Luke’s Helen G. Nassif Transitional Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 12 – 1 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Community of Christ Church 1500 Blairs Ferry Road in Hiawatha. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Community of Christ Church in Hiawatha. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Beverly was born on May 24, 1932, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Homer and Madeline (Stollenwerk) Pennington. She was united in marriage to Willard F. Lynch on November 7, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They spent sixty-six wonderful years together. She retired from Wilson & Co. in Cedar Rapids. Beverly was a faithful member of Community of Christ Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved her flower gardens. Her memory will be cherished forever by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Linda Stigers of Orefield, PA, Lori Kaplan of Sussex, WI, and Scott Lynch of Lakeville, MN; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Gloria Fisher of North Liberty.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Willard in 2015; two daughters, Dixie Baughman and Jeannie Cogley; sons-in-law, Gary Baughman and Clark Cogley; daughter in law, Michelle Lynch; and sister Kay Erenberger.
