Beverly Rose Griggs, 84, of Marengo, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at the Marengo Memorial Hospital. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Andrew Gray officiating. Inurnment will be in the Marengo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
Bev is survived by her sons, Theodore "Ted" and Timothy (Linda), all of Marengo; grandsons, Trevor (Mary) Griggs of Cedar Rapids, Trent Griggs of Emmetsburg and Seth (Amanda) Griggs of Victor; great-grandchildren, Sean and Jillian, Harmony, Alicia, Alexis, Tamion and Bernard; and a sister, Barbara Vondracek of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James J. and Florence Larson Hannon; her husband, James L. "Jake" in 2011; two brothers, Richard and James Hannon; and a sister, Betty, in infancy.
