Beverly Forrester, 87, of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died April 7, 2022. Visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, with Pastor Rick Gail officiating. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of the Last Supper.
Beverly was born Aug. 29, 1934, to Oliver and Leona Camp. Survivors include her son, Rick (Wendy) Forrester of Palo; grandchildren, Aaron (Emily) Forrester of Ankeny and Andrew (Wendy) Forrester of Loveland, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Evelyn, Janner and Silas; sister-in-law, Marjorie Forrester of Cedar Rapids; as well as several nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Forrester, in 2009; son, Rusty Loren Forrester; parents; sisters, Leona Thome, Olive Norman and Rosie Morrison; and brothers, Oliver "Shorty" Camp, Tom Camp of Utah and Charles Camp.
Beverly worked at General Mills 19 3/4 years and was a member of First Assembly of God and the VFW Auxiliary. When she was young, Beverly loved to cook, especially pig ears and snoots and cabbage rolls for her family. She enjoyed reading and anything musical. Beverly liked dancing, gambling and family get-togethers, especially those that involved eating her son's barbecue ribs.
In lieu of flowers, please give to the First Assembly of God or the American Diabetes Association.
The family would like to thank the ICU nurse Hanna and Dr. Manjal for all the love and support, they showed Beverly while she was in their care.
