Beverly E. Kuddes, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, Nov.26, 2022, after an extended illness at the age of 79 years.
Beverly was born the oldest daughter to William and Betty (Campbell) Hormel on Sept. 22, 1943. She graduated from West Liberty High School and then the University of Iowa. On Sept. 17, 1966, she married Norman J Kuddes Jr. to this union they have sons, Norman Joseph (Joe) and William Russell (Rusty). Beverly worked for the University of Iowa until retirement. After retirement, she continued to work for Thrivent Insurance with Willis Wolfe for 22 years. In her free time Beverly enjoyed quilting, trips to the Iowa State Fair, West Liberty Fair and spending time with her family in West Liberty Iowa. Beverly was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
Beverly is survived by her son, Joe (Connie) Kuddes; grandchildren, Ashlea Matthes, Jen Hupp and Brad Hupp; great-grandsons, Alexander and Lincoln Hupp; sisters-in law, Janice (Dick) Hendrickson, Mary (Harvey) Horn and Carol Kuddes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman, in 2018; son, Rusty, in 2021; sister, Joyce, in 2014; and brothers-in-law, Harold and Frank.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will at St. Michael's Cemetery in Holbrook. Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
