Beverly “Bev” Pisarik, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids, with sharing time to begin at 2:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Bev was born March 1, 1939, in Creston, Iowa, the daughter of William and Grace “Aldora” (Goings) Gillispie. She attended Orient Consolidated High School. Bev began working for Cryovac in 1967; she retired in 2000. Bev met the love of her life, Linda Chesmore, in 1979, and the couple married on Aug. 11, 2009, in Iowa City, Iowa.
Survivors include her son, Bart Pisarik of Celebration, Florida; grandchildren, Megan Pisarik of Marion and Sean Pisarik of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Amy Pisarik of Marion, Iowa; niece, Amber (Joe) Skalicky and their family; nephew, Brian (Joan) Solem and their family; and four sisters-in-law, Sue Pulda, Judy Kauffman, JoAnn Honn, Patty (Robin) Honn and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Aldora Gillispie; wife, Linda Chesmore in 2020; sisters, Judith “Judy” Solem and Karen Gillispie; and two brothers-in-law, Ed “Butch” Pulda and Gary Honn.
