Beverlee F.Hagerman, 82, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at her home.Visitation, with the family present, will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, 709 E. Mapleleaf Dr., Mount Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian Swafford officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Disabled American Veterans.Online condolences may be directed to daughter of Frank S. and Nelle Marie Schroll Vandersnick, Beverlee Faith was born on August 31, 1927, in Mount Pleasant. She received her education in the Mount Pleasant schools. On Dec. 31, 1974, she married Ernest Hagerman. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1990.Beverlee spent her formative years in the Mount Pleasant area. She moved to Cedar Rapids in the early 1970s, where she owned and operated Ward's Drive Inn restaurant for a few years. Beverlee then worked in the editing department at KCRG-TV for many years. A master quilt maker, Beverlee made many quilts over the years. She collected cookie jars and enjoyed watching game shows and murder mysteries on television. Beverlee was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Hagerman is survived by a grandson, Larry (Elizabeth) Fleagle of Kalona; two stepdaughters, Marsha Jensen and Vickie Wood, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Juanita Allender of Peoria, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Along with her husband, Mrs. Hagerman was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sheila LaFaune Parker; and two sisters, LaFaune Vandersnick and JoAnne Frost.
