Bev Zacek of Cedar Rapids, died Dec. 31, 2015, at Living Center West. Per Bev's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Private inurnment will take place at the Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynne (Bob) Zeman of Solon, Cindy (David) Whisler of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Sherry (Ron) Renoux of Richland; grandchildren, Jereme (Laura) Hardy, Jennifer (Rico) Chin, Nick Whisler, Mike Whisler, Kathryn Whisler and Margaret (Barry) Green; great-grandchildren, Hannah Chin, Jack Hardy and one on the way; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; sister, Helen Tucker; grandson, Andrew Renoux; and great-grand-daughter, Ariana Chin.
Beverly Jeanne Martin was born July 18, 1927, to Adair Martin and Lena Prause in Muskogee, Okla. Bev married Gene F. Zacek on Feb. 4, 1950, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage until his death on Aug. 28, 2009.
