BETTY (TUTTLE) SINGER

Betty Winnifred (Tuttle) Singer (nee Johnson), a resident of Oaknoll in Iowa City, passed away peacefully in her sleep June 3, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Andrew Johnson, D.D.S., and Jean "Winnie" Bunn; and spouses, John W. Tuttle and Frank "Bud" Singer.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Tuttle (Anna Lee Hope) of Iowa City; stepson Mike Singer (Laura); former daughter-in-law, Amy Baum of St. Louis; her cherished friend and companion of recent years, John Nesbitt of Iowa City; and many wonderful friends.
No funeral service will take place because she donated her body to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. An informal memorial and celebration of her life will be July 11 at Oaknoll Retirement Residence. Please call (319) 351-1720 for further details after July 1.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to The Salvation Army of Iowa City, Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center or Iowa Foundation.
