Betty Jane Rupe, 92, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018, at the Mechanicsville Care Center. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.
Betty Brown was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Audubon, Iowa, to William and Rossetta (Zell) Brown. Betty was married to Burrell Rupe Sr. on May 9, 1946, in Lancaster, Mo.
Betty is survived by one son, Steven Rupe of Bloomfield, Iowa; two daughters, Anne Marie Segriff of Lowden, Iowa, and Jennifer Rupe of Apache Junction, Ariz.; many grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Earl Rupe and Burrell Rupe Jr.; three daughters, Deborah Rupe, Linda Williams and Dottie Rupe; three sisters; and five brothers.
