Betty Lou Venditti, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Betty Lou was born Sept. 9, 1932, the daughter of Phillip and Merle (Jones) Lewis, in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to William F. Venditti on Feb. 10, 1948.
Betty greatly enjoyed working as a banking receptionist for many years, as well as working for Killian's Department Store. She enjoyed bowling, gambling and crocheting. She was always up to the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
Survivors include her four children, Rodney (Ann) Venditti of Wheatland, Tracy (Anne) Venditti of Cedar Rapids, Venda (Rick) Corkin of Lisbon and Melany (Al) Reinboldt of Lisbon; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Don) Kimm of Watkins; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nine brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
