Betty Kimball, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, Iowa. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Betty was born March 12, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Alice Harrison. She graduated from Wilson High School. Betty married Merlyn Kimball on Sept. 8, 1943, in Cedar Rapids. The couple owned and operated Valley Enterprises Antiques. Betty was a giving person and she was passionate about volunteering at Bridgehaven Support Center. She loved reading, decorating, flower arranging and gold paint. Betty had a deep love for her family and especially her grandchildren. She was looking forward to going to heaven to be with her Lord.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Mary (Wendell) Aldrich of Cedar Rapids and Susan (Jim) Ketchum of Drexel, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Steven (Jackie) Aldrich, Brad Aldrich, Charity (Kent) Fedde, Wendy (Eric) Jans, Becky (Ashley) Swore, Philip Ketchum, Joel Ketchum and Matt (Minta) Ketchum; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and siblings, James Harrison of California and Mary Newman of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas Kimball; siblings, Donald (Delores) Harrison and Judy (Jerry) Mahring; brother-in-law, Lewis Newman; and special friends, Bert and Chris Fedde.
