Betty K. Rusk, 95, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Oct. 31, 2018, at Keystone Care Center.
Graveside service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine with Pastor Don Drahos officiating. Memorials may be directed to Belle Plaine Area Ambulance Service. Online condolences can be sent to www.hrabakfuneralhome.com.
Betty is survived by her niece, Barbara Wohlbrandt of Buffalo, Wyo.; and nephew, Brad Carpenter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; children, Garie (Linda) and Kathie Rusk and brother, Bill.
Betty was born April, 22, 1923, on an acreage east of Belle Plaine, to William and Nellie (Meyers) Carpenter. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1940. On Oct. 8, 1942, Betty married William Rusk in Vinton, Iowa.
She was a caretaker and had a healthy sense of humor all her life.
