Betty J. Edaburn, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial following the service in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Randy) Sirowy of Brighton, Colo., Barb Koenen of Cedar Rapids, Connie Trout of Cedar Rapids and Lori (Kerry) Ohlhauser of Norway, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Dianne Martens of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sister, June Fascher of Monona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, in 1999; son, Curtis Martens, in 2005; son-in-law, Terry Trout, in 2009; great-grandson, Matthew Charles Trout II; two sisters, Eva Martens and Gwendolyn Anderson; and brother, Johnny Holly.
Betty was born Sept. 10, 1931, in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Florence (Koss) Holly. She was united in marriage to Charles Edaburn Jr. on May 26, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nev. Betty worked at Rockwell Collins for 27 years and retired in 1986.
