Monticello
Betty Brockhohn, 85, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. A celebration of life visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Private family interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Surviving are four children, Robert of Woodward, Okla., Larry (Shirley) and Richard, both of Monticello, and Carolyn (Kenneth) Knight of Robins; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and
a sister, Carol Brockhohn of Anamosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald; and a brother, Roger Aldrich
Betty Aldrich was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Ruby Young Aldrich. Betty attended Lovell Township School No. 9. She married Lawrence Brockhohn on May 13, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Betty was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Pythian Sisters in Monticello.
