Betty Darland Haynes Ball, 86, of Raytown, Mo., fell asleep in death Thursday, June 8, 2017.
She married James Haynes (deceased 1973) in 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later married Marvin Ball Sr. (deceased 2013) in Kansas City, Mo.
Betty was one of Jehovah's Witnesses baptized in 1958 and attended the Raytown Congregation. She enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles. She was an avid student of the Bible, and had a zeal for public witnessing about the coming of Jehovah God's Kingdom government at the hands of Jesus Christ.
Also preceding her in death were her father, Bruce Darland; her mother, Dorothea Mace; stepfather, Vernell Browne; sister, Shirley Rocky; brothers, Dale Darland and Darrell Darland; daughters, Janet Haynes and Jennifer Haynes; and other Iowa family.
Immediate survivors include daughters, Trish Cullins Wyatt, Suzaye Junod (Steve) and Deborah Haynes; a son, Richard Haynes (Anongkana); grandchildren, Tony Fant, Daniel Walker (Kelly), Javier Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez (Cathy), Shawna Haynes, Alexandria Haynes and Timothy Haynes; great-grandchildren, Mike Fant, Alyissa Fant, Joshawa Fant, Eric Haynes, Leila Haynes and Jordon Ross.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. June 17 at Raytown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1000 James A. Reed Rd.
