Betty Ann (Blecher) Stoklasa, 101, passed away at the Hiawatha Care Center on Sunday, May 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Tuesday, May 30, from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jaymee Glenn-Burns, officiating. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of the Last Supper.
Betty was born on March 21, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late, Charles and Anna (Kepler) Blecher. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and the Cedar Rapids Business College. Betty married the love of her life, Frank Stoklasa Jr., on Feb. 10,1945. He passed away on Sept. 13, 1995. She was a member of Trinity-St. James United Methodist Church for many years where she was part of the Ruth Circle.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory are her children, David (Kaye) Stoklasa of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ann (Fred) Grabau, of Chesterfield, Mo.; her daughter-in-law, Cyndi Stoklasa, of Laporte, Colo.; her grandchildren, Brian (Katie) Stoklasa, Janise (Clayton) Daylin, Kate (Kyle) Ludwig and Laura Grabau; four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Walter; and her son, John.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Mercy, Dr. Ann Soenen, and the staff at the Hiawatha Care Center for all the love and support they showed Betty while she was in their care.
