Bette I. Moore, 94, of Blairstown, Iowa, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Blairstown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Diane Vorhies officiating. Burial
will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on
Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Bette was born July 5, 1923, to William and Rose Harris in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Bette worked many different jobs around Belle Plaine. On April 13, 1945, she married Orville Moore in Norfolk, Va. Following Orville's time in the Navy, the couple moved to Blairstown to raise their family. Bette worked at the Me Too Grocery Store and later at Armstrong's in Cedar Rapids.
Bette enjoyed crocheting, bowling, golf, playing cards and spending time at Clear Lake with friends.
Bette was a member of the Blairstown Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, and the Blairstown American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Lanny (Margaret) Moore of Cedar Rapids and Bill Moore of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Damon (Tiffany) Moore of Cedar Rapids and Darren Moore of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Jordon, Kenzie, Elia, Christopher and Ethan; and many more loving family and friends.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville Moore, in 2015; three brothers; one sister; and a great-granddaughter.
