Bernice L. (Hultman) Huss, 95, of Paducah, Ky., passed from this earth at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Superior Care Home in Paducah.
Bernice was born in Fremont Township, Iowa, to Carl and Julia (Johnson) Hultman. She graduated from school in Newhall, Iowa, and worked as a secretary for Martin-Marrietta Corp. in Cedar Rapids.
Always the caregiver, Bernice moved to Paducah to care for her mother, brother and other family members. While living in Paducah, she met and married Wilson R. Huss in 1986. He preceded her in death.
A faithful Christian, she last attended Gospel Mission Worship Center. Bernice was a well-known hostess and homemaker. She enjoyed entertaining family and visiting relatives and friends.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Kathy and husband Don Crowe; four stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews: Debbie Davies, Cori Poindexter and Mark Hultman of Paducah; Marcia Lewis of Cedar Rapids; Judy Kyne and Gary Bradley of Spring Valley, Ohio; Greg Hultman of Naples, Fla.; and Steve Hultman of Brunswick, Maine.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah. Burial will follow in Mount Kenton Cemetery, Paducah. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
