Bernice R. Clarke, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Bill Harnish. The
family will greet friends Sunday, Dec. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Bernice Rose Clarke was born May 3, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to her parents, George W. and Lulu May (Shirley) Huggins. She married Robert C. Clarke Sr., on April 22, 1948. He died in 1994.
Bernice is survived by her children, Harold (Barb) Clarke, Kathy (Vern) McMurray, Robert Jr. (Glena) Clarke and Helen (Chuck) Marsh; daughter-in-law, Deanna Dains; her grandchildren, Travis Clarke, Heather (Mark) Kjormoe, Amber Clarke, Kendra (Steve) Hobart, Becky Gorsh, Mike (Chris) McMurray, Blaine (Alyssa) Clarke, Matthew (Paula) Clarke, Megan (Wes) Clarke, Tori (Cody) Clarke, Chrystal (Carl) Dains, Shoady Clarke, Joshua Clarke, Tabitha (Stan) Clarke, Hayley (Jordan) Payne and Dakota (Scott) Marsh; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Sr.; two daughters, Margaret Clarke and Roberta Gorsh; one son, Randy Clarke; three brothers and one sister.
