Berneice I. Lane, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Mercy Hallmar.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Springs of Life Foursquare Church. Visitation will be
from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Berneice was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Urbana, Iowa, to Wayne and Beulah (Nabholz) Bissell. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. Berneice was united in marriage to Donald Lane on Aug. 28, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. To this union, four children were born.
She was employed with Iowa National Mutual until her retirement in 1982. She also assisted her husband in operating Curl's Upholstering.
She is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Ronald and Roger (Jo Ann) Lane of Marion; daughters, Vicki (Lyle) Muller of North Liberty and Julie Sattler of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren: Michelle (Greg) Greene, Jamison (Amanda) Lane, Garrett Lane (fiancee Melanie), Sherae (Joe) Dellwo, Rachel (Craig) Miller, Alison (Ethan) Manning, Sara Sattler, Nick Sattler and Lauren Sattler; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Jennifer Sattler and Ryan Lane; great-grandchildren, Chance and Carson Greene; four sisters; one brother; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Lane.
