Bernadine Marie Coleman, 100, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at RidgeView Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2025, St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with visitation one hour prior. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Coggon, Iowa. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bernadine was born on November 20, 1924, in Center Point, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Mary Klima. She was united in marriage to George Coleman in Leavenworth, Kansas, on April 28, 1951.
Bernadine was a faithful member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church. She was a hard worker, loving mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family.
Bernadine is survived by her children, Valerie Bauck, Renee (Scott) Thompson, and Gary (Mindy) Coleman; grandchildren, Emily (Benjamin) McCall, Neal (Stacy) Coleman, Angela (Nate) Williams, Jesse (Sandra) Bauck, Billy Bauck, Keegan Thompson, Kayla (Matt) Sedlacek, and Kyle Thompson; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Lark, Atlas, Arden, Evelyn, Lillian, Issac, and Elliot; and sisters-in-law, Pam Klima and Betty Dooley.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Leo, Mike, Leona, Gladys, Kate, Bill, and Bob.
