Benjamin Lee “Benny” Jamison passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lisbon on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Funeral services will be held at the Living Hope Global Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Bee officiating on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11 AM. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday, May 12 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery.

Benny was born June 21, 1939 in Anamosa, IA to Noel and Esther (Oxley) Jamison. He was united in marriage to Kathy Jennings on June 26, 1960 in Moberly, MO.

Family members left to cherish his memories are his wife Kathy; sons Terry and Timothy (Teresa) of Lisbon; daughter Tracy (Tim) Allen of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren Jesse (Kelsey) Jamison, Taylor Jamison, Timothy Blake Jamison, Brittany Allen, and Danielle Allen; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Ronnie (Monica) of Olin and Barry (Mary) of Table Rock Lake, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim.

Benny was the kind of man you don’t meet often—humble, steady, and blessed with a rare gift: he could build or fix just about anything. Whether it was a tractor in the field, a broken-down engine in the shop, or something entirely new drawn from the blueprint of his own imagination, Benny had the vision and skill to bring it to life.

He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. A devoted husband, loving father and dad, and a proud grandpa, Benny led his family by example—with strength, gentleness, and deep loyalty. He was someone you could count on, always. His presence brought calm, and his hands built more than machines—they built a legacy of love, patience, and quiet determination.

He lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. On Sunday mornings, the sound of polka music filled the air, bringing a bit of light-hearted rhythm to the day. In the evenings, he appreciated a 5:00 beverage—never flashy, just a simple pleasure earned after a long day. And he loved Gaither gospel music, the harmonies echoing the quiet faith he carried with him.

He had a need for speed, a soft spot for a well-running engine, and a soul that found peace in music and the open land. Benny leaves behind a legacy of integrity, hard work, and quiet love—a man who never asked for much, but gave everything he had.
