Benjamin Franklin Sanders, 37, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Dec. 14, 2022. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Jeffrey and Donna Sanders; and his siblings, Jennifer(Makenzie) McMullen and Winston (Elizabeth) Sanders. He was a great uncle to his six nephews, Jacob, James, Cian, Jeremiah, Jeptha and Jace. His grandparents, Judy Cowan, Scott and Kate Sanders; along with various cousins.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandpa, Rascal.
Benjamin Franklin Sanders was born on July 23, 1985, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended Washington High School and Truman State. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a system administrator at Linn-Mar High School. He was well known for his quirky, dry sense of humor. Ben enjoyed brewing beer, hanging out with his dog and his nephews. He would often remind his family that his birthday was perpetually forgotten. Ben will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
