Benest, Willie
Willie Benest, 44, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from noon to service time. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his father, Mark (Marlene) Benest of Cedar Rapids; numerous brothers and sisters; and extended family and friends.
Willie was born July 18, 1966, in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, racing and playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys.
A memorial fund has been established. The family requests no flowers.
