Benesch, Ellen M.
Ellen M. Benesch, 72, of Walker, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in West Village Care Center, Independence. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Walker, by the Rev. David Ambrosy. Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Walker. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walker.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Liz) Benesch of Walker, Rick Benesch of Rochester, Minn., Roxanne Benesch (Jack Johnson) of Cedar Falls and Renee (Jonathan) Moore of Walker; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two great-grandchildren on the way; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Margaret Perrin; two sons, Ronald Benesch and Rodney Benesch; and her brother, Charles Perrin.
Born June 16, 1937, in Mystic, Iowa, Ellen was the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Baxter) Perrin. She worked for North Linn Elementary School in Walker and for Rockwell Collins.
Ellen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and IBEW Local 1362. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed NASCAR and reading.
Memorials may be made in Ellen's memory to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233.
